Game Developer Conference 2022 Recap - Day 2 The 2nd Day Started Early… Even though the show floor wouldn’t be opening until 10am, the team found themselves meeting unplanned for breakfast in the hotel around 7:30a. In case you don’t know, this is a rather unusual thing to happen to a group of somewhat jet lagged middle-aged men from around the globe. Game Developer Conference 2022 Recap - Day 1 When the Phantasma team learned that the Game Developer Conference was coming back in 2022, it didn’t take long before the booth space was reserved and the team got to work forging a plan. With over 15,000 guests expected and over 300 vendors, the GDC Expo was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from March 23rd through 25th. The team arrived in full force in the days leading up to the event, with the last arriving the day before the show floor opened. The three-day event was far more than the Phantasma team could have ever expected or hoped for. We walked in as Cinderella at the ball and left with hundreds of new friends and opportunities. PSA: Incident Resolution Update As the team continues to gradually and methodically complete all tasks in accordance with our incident resolution playbook, we would like to update our SOULdiers on some of the progress thus far: ▪️New contracts for SOUL and KCAL on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain are close to completion and being tested ▪️The smart contracts on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain facilitating the migration from old to new contracts are complete and being tested, migration frontend is in development ▪️Multiple snapshots of the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain blockchains have been secured at various relevant block heights (exact block heights will not be announced until the migration procedure is published to discourage speculative behaviour) ▪️The mathematical algorithms of our cross-chain liquidity incentivization protocol Pharming are being applied to snapshot data to assess liquidity provider balances before and after the incident - this involves interpreting historical NFT metadata (among other things) and is progressing well ▪️The analysis of trading history on DEXes for individual wallets is progressing well and partially complete All of the above tasks are progressing in parallel. Once complete, the data will be combined to form the basis for the token migration from old to new contracts on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. With the massive amount of data being processed and synthesized it will naturally take some time before all boxes have been ticked and all results have been verified, and we will continue to keep everyone updated on the progression. PSA: Protecting Our Token Holders Status update: The Phantasma team is currently engaged in a multitude of tasks aimed to protect and safeguard our token holders. Among the most important of those tasks is the effort going into the assessment of, and migration planning for, assets on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Below are some of the ongoing efforts: ▪️New contracts are being written based on contract templates that have already been audited twice by reputable firms ▪️The migration procedure for token holders on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain is being designed and coded ▪️Multiple snapshots are being taken of SOUL / KCAL balances at different block heights assessing both balances before the incident and movements / balance changes after the incident ▪️All transactions on Uniswap and PancakeSwap are being analyzed from the time of the incident until the contracts were frozen ▪️Liquidity positions are being analyzed to assess starting positions before the incident and remaining balances at the point of LP withdrawal / contracts being frozen (deciphering LP NFT metadata for Uniswap V3 NFTs and PancakeSwap LP token equivalents) The above is being done methodically and meticulously as our main focus is to protect our valued token holders and community members. The team is not willing to rush this as we are committed to ensuring that our community is adequately taken care of and minimally affected by the incident. Phantasma Pharming dApp back live The Pharming dApp has been enabled to allow liquidity providers to collect Pharming rewards accumulated up until and including April 1st (before the incident). The cross-chain liquidity incentivization protocol Pharming will naturally be paused until new smart contracts have been deployed on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain and new liquidity pools created on Uniswap and PancakeSwap. This has led to massive improvements in both functionality and user experience, but also comes with a need to always be mindful of supporting legacy formats and the quirks of early versions. To streamline user experience and simplify the process for new users onboarding, Poltergeist will cease to support legacy formats in the near future. A separate app for decoding of legacy formats will be released at the same time. To simplify the future both for you and for our tech support team, we kindly ask all our users who created wallets in Poltergeist before April 2021 (in Poltergeist v2.3 and earlier versions) to migrate to the new seed words format.
