Phantasma Update (19th June 2023) A fortnight of pivotal developments: Comprehensive Refactor of Phantasma Chain Code Our tech team has undertaken a massive revamp of our chain code to ensure the code is not only cleaner but also more readable and sustainable for the future. This is an enormous stride towards the ongoing maintenance and growth of the Phantasma blockchain, laying a stronger foundation for our next developments. Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Support Phantasma is all about interoperability and making our blockchain more versatile so we're actively working to integrate support for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This will allow Ethereum developers to build and deploy smart contracts on Phantasma with the same tools they're already accustomed to, expanding the scope of possible decentralized applications (dApps) on our platform. Resolving Stuck Swaps We understand the inconvenience posed by stuck swaps and are dedicated to resolving this issue. Our team is working round the clock to address the root cause and provide a long-term solution that will enhance the user experience. Cross Chain Swaps Cross-chain interoperability is no longer a concept of the future - it's a reality at Phantasma. We're making a concerted effort towards completing the Cross Chain Swaps, making it possible for users to seamlessly swap assets between different blockchains, offering more freedom and flexibility for our users but also to establish Phantasma as a versatile platform in the rapidly evolving world of blockchain. Phantasma Update (5th June 2023) What have we been up to the last 2 weeks? We hope you're as excited about the future of our platform as we are. Our development team has been working tirelessly to improve our ecosystem, making it more robust, efficient, and user-friendly. We have some updates to share, and we'd like to give you a peek into the work we've been doing lately and what's coming up. Phantasma Hub We've made substantial progress on the Phantasma Hub. Our development efforts have been focused on the introduction of Mass Minting and Advanced Interactions, both of which are currently in development. These features will bring more versatility to the platform, paving the way for new use cases and enhanced user experiences. We are also working on introducing Cross Chain Transactions, a major step towards achieving interoperability and improving liquidity. This feature is still in progress, and we appreciate your patience. As part of our ongoing commitment to improve and stabilize the platform, we have fixed issues related to the deployment of Contracts using .pvm.hex and .abi.hex. In addition, the Readme and Contract Deployment have been updated and fixed, respectively. Several minor bugs have also been fixed, further streamlining the platform's operation. TokenSwapper We've been putting a lot of effort into our TokenSwapper. We've completed the tasks of getting transactions, storing them locally, and reading from the chains. The validation of information and contract improvements are underway. Now, let's address the elephant in the room: Why is the development of the TokenSwapper taking a bit longer than anticipated? The answer lies in our ambition to create a fully decentralized manner of cross-chain swapping. We want to create a platform where everyone has the potential to become a swapper. Achieving this kind of deep-rooted decentralization isn't an easy task. It requires careful planning, testing, and robust security measures to ensure that the platform is not only efficient and user-friendly, but also secure and fair for all users. Yes, the process is complex and time-consuming, but we're committed to it because it's a major step forward in improving Phantasma's decentralization, which we believe will significantly strengthen our platform's position in the crypto space. Chain For our Chain, we have focused our efforts on making Oracle Improvements. This will enhance the way our chain interacts with external data, adding another layer of versatility to the Phantasma ecosystem. Documentation Finally, we understand the importance of having clear and updated documentation. Phantasma Update (22nd May 2023) What have we been working on the last two weeks? TokenSwapper: Work is in progress on a new feature that allows users to act as swappers. This essentially means users can cross chain swap their own tokens. The team is brainstorming various strategies and models to ensure a seamless implementation of this feature. Phantasma Hub: The feature to run Hex Script, a component of Advanced Interactions, is now successfully implemented. Advanced Interactions feature development is underway. Fees calculation based on the number of NFTs being airdropped and minted are completed. The Mass Minting feature is still in development. Explorer: We're making considerable improvements to the backend for enhanced performance and user experience. We have successfully implemented a faster method to retrieve transactions. Old Explorer: Our old explorer at soulblocks.xyz is back online for your convenience. Documentation: In our effort to facilitate better understanding and easier development, we are always improving our documentation. Metamask Support: We're making headway with the integration of Metamask Wallet with the Phantasma Chain. We believe this will offer users more choices and flexibility. Here are the highlights for the last two weeks: Phantasma Hub: Wallet icons for Poltergeist and Ecto have been updated. The change API function has been fixed for seamless operations from the API Selector. We've successfully completed the token deployment. Necessary fixes have been applied to the Airdrop. Poltergeist: Welcome back to iOS! We're glad to re-establish our presence in the iOS world. We've released version 2.8.6 with a crucial fix to the cosmic swaps. Explorer: Issues with the display of NFTs, Series, and DAOs have been resolved. Now you can view the correct address balances. Decentralized Exchange (DEX): We've started testing the DEX. Users can now swap, provide liquidity, remove liquidity, and see liquidity. The issues with balances updates and AddLiquidity have been fixed. We've set up the pools to fetch in an interval. Key improvements have been made to the Smart Contract. Phantasma TS: Phantasma Link has been updated. Wallet fetching is now more efficient. Missing types issue has been fixed. Phantasma Community Announcement We are excited to announce our team of contributors is expanding with the addition of John Reusing to help with business development and ecosystem growth. John has been working with Phantasma for the last couple of months, is highly skilled, and brings a wealth of blockchain experience to the team: Hi! My name is John Reusing and I was recently promoted from SOUL holder and SmartNFT admirer to Ecosystem Growth Contributor for our wonderful chain and community. I got my start in Crypto when I decided to hold monthly Bitcoin meetups at my cocktail bar, and let customers pay their tabs in crypto. Since those first meetings in 2011, I have watched, learned, and participated in the explosion of innovation and decentralisation that is crypto and web3. I am bringing a decade of experience running a business and many years of experience doing outside sales for tech startups to Phantasma. It is an exciting time to be selling this chain, with our unique technological advantages over EVM chains and the chance for a fresh start. Day to day, I earn a living by building a database of crypto projects, from Layer 1 chains, to DeFi projects, NFT collections, and even new DAOs. The thousands of projects I have found and researched using my Twitter scraping bot I then bundle into categories and sell them as sales leads for companies offering goods or services to customers in the crypto space. This mountain of projects I have looked into gives me a fairly unique view of the crypto space. I get to see what chains are growing and shrinking, what ideas and themes are being built, what trends are picking up speed or fading away. I plan to use this wide view of the market to help Phantasma find and recruit the right builders and projects to grow the chain. Over the past 2 weeks, our team has been working tirelessly on multiple projects, and we have some exciting news to share. Here's a summary of what we've been up to: Github Actions: We've implemented Github actions for our projects, making it easier to maintain them. This includes building, testing, and commenting on pull requests. Phantasma Chain Updates: Major updates have been made to the Phantasma Chain, including fixing cosmic swaps, auto NuGet updates, new ExtCalls, and Docker updates. Phantasma RPC: The C# API call has been updated, allowing for easier interaction for C# developers. Token Swapper: Development is in progress. Unity SDK: The Phantasma Link has received updates. Poltergeist: The GetBalances function has been fixed, now allowing it to return the IDs. Phantasma Hub (Formerly Phantasma Tools & Voting): Multiple updates have been made, including improvements to the airdrop functionality, smart contract deployment, and chain interaction. The testing phase is ongoing. Additionally, the Phantasma Voting module has begun testing, with plans to merge it into the Phantasma Hub. Documentation: Improvements have been made to the UnitySDK documentation and more. Dex: The liquidity calculation is in progress.
